Volunteers are the heart of all we do at Lakes Life Care Center.
Do you want to be a part of our life saving ministry?
Here are just some of the volunteer opportunities we have available at Lakes Life Care Center. If you don't see something that fits you here, stop by the center or give us a call, we would love to discuss more options with you.
Baby Boutique
Clean, sort and organize clothing, furnishings and other items donated for our Baby Boutique. Time commitment varies according to volunteer availability and the amount of donations. Flexible schedules are welcome.
Mailings and Special Projects
Assist in putting together direct mailings or help with other projects. This is on an as needed basis and provides a way to volunteer which does not require a time commitment.
Earn While You Learn Teacher
Our Earn While You Learn (EWYL) teacher reach out to women with the compassion of Christ by offering assistance in both word and deed as a one-on-one caring helper. EWYL teachers meet with clients in a private setting to listen, education and affirm women and families that seek our services. They present ready-made lessons on topics pertaining to pregnancy, child birth and child rearing from our EWYL program. A commitment to a regular schedule, for a minimum of one year is requested. No experience necessary, we will train you, all you need is a heart to serve.
Dad's Support Group
The men in our support group reach out to young fathers and offer support and practical advice to help young men be the best fathers possible. Ready-made curriculum is available on topics specific to fatherhood. Commitment to a regular schedule is requested. Training is provided.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors provides vision, expertise and oversight to the crisis pregnancy ministry. Application and interview are requested. Board members must attend monthly meetings and support all special events. We are looking for people with special talents that can benefit the center. Not sure if you want to be on the board? No worries, you can attend a couple of meetings and see what we are about before making a commitment.
Cleaning Crew
Support our mission by helping to keep our center neat, clean and professional looking for clients. Time commitment is one time per month for two hours. Training and cleaning supplies are provided.
Pregnancy Counselor
Pregnancy counselors received special training to work with clients in crisis. They meet with a client one on one to discuss her situation and help her find life-affirming solutions. Commitment to a one day a week schedule is requested. Not sure if you are ready to be a pregnancy counselor? Try our EWYL program for a while.
Medical Team
Join our medical team of nurses, doctors and sonographers offering limited obstetrical ultrasounds and pregnancy and STI testing.
Special Events Committee Member
Assist in the detail work for the annual events of LLCC's ministry. Help is needed in planning, developing and coordinating fundraising events like our annual Walk For Life and our Passion For Life Banquet. Time commitment varies depending on the event.
Church Liaison
Represent LLCC to your local congregation. Convey newsletter announcements of special events, material needs or other concerns of the ministry. Liaisons are the contact point for ministry updates.
Host a Baby Shower
To host a baby shower simply pick a date, invite your bible study, Sunday school class, co-workers, friend, family and have them each bring a baby gift. LLCC will provide a speaker to share about the ministry if you wish. See our donate page for a list of items the center needs.
